Issue 3

Welcome to the third newsletter from Sylvester Fine Art.

Summer Colour in the Village

As we move into summer, a relatively short newsletter to keep you all up-to-date with what is happening.

European Masters is running throughout July although pictures are already disappearing so don’t miss out! We have some wonderful new and different things for you to view, as well as a new selection from some of our more familiar offerings. There are some fabulous etchings by Chas Laborde which are just beautiful and very reasonably priced; Les Maitres de l’Affiche examples are vibrant and fun; the Goya etchings can only be described as extraordinary; and the hand-coloured Utrillo pieces are just lovely.

Jean-Nicolas Gérard

We are delighted to announce that the work of French slipware potter Jean-Nicolas Gérard will be the feature in our next pot showcase. His sunny glazes and loosely thrown pots are just wondrous – and I speak as someone who has many examples of his work at home. The showcase will start from 10 July, or as soon as I can unpack and display everything.
